Hackerspace.SG Incorporation
Owner: Ruiwen
Done. Decide on a corporate form and incorporate "Hackerspace.SG Pte Ltd" or Ltd or LLP.
Open bank account. 7pm Thursday.
Keep basic ledger on spreadsheets.google.com to track the membership dues and expenses.
Corporate Form
Meng and Ruiwen incorporated on 20091014:
Company No. :200919232E
NOTICE OF INCORPORATION
This is to confirm that HACKERSPACE.SG PTE. LTD. is incorporated under the Companies Act(Cap.50), on and from 14/10/2009 and that the Company is a PRIVATE COMPANY LIMITED BY SHARES.
Until we are a few months farther along, it would be OK to operate the Hackerspace Membership roster separately from the Pte Ltd shareholder roster or from the LLP partner roster.
Ruiwen and his buddies can be shareholders if they want.
Ordinary memberships should initially be managed separately from the legal membership.
Down the road we can harmonize the legal shareholder/partners and the membership.
So we would be more like a gym than a country club at first.
The company would have no employees.
Bank Account
Meng would be OK with any local bank ... preferably with a good online bookkeeping system, that can export transactions to Quicken or XLS.
Standard Chartered
